This panel features representatives of five projects that develop and support tools and infrastructure used by rank-and-file students and scholars in the DH community. In recognition of DH 2024’s notion of “flipped” presentations, papers outlining each project’s current status will be posted on this page before the conference begins, allowing for the panel to take the format of a moderated discussion. Drs. Brian Croxall and Jeremy Browne will pose questions that explore how each project supports their users today, and how they can continue to support learning and scholarship into the second quarter of the 21st Century. Topics will include accessibility, sustainability, and reinvention in the face of AI and other technology revolutions yet to come.
The papers for each panelist are below, made available as soon as they are completed:
- Susan Brown (University of Guelph) and Diane Jakacki (Bucknell) on LEAF-Writer
- Scott Kleinman (CSUN) on Lexos
- Geoffrey Rockwell (University of Alberta) on Voyant Tools
- Toma Tasovac (DARIAH EU) on SSH Open Marketplace
- Lauryn Wilde (BYU) and Jason Dzubak (BYU) on WordCruncher (https://wordcruncher.com/dh2024)
